Bio

Karin has a blended background in social work and Healthcare. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and is also a licensed physical therapist assistant. She has extensive experience working with children, youth, and families involved in the juvenile justice system. As a therapist she has worked in schools, youth and family services, detention facilities, and outpatient mental health. As a physical therapist assistant she has experience working with older adults in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. Karin is also a yoga teacher and has experience teaching yoga for chronic pain, stress management, recovery from injuries, balance skills, and fall prevention.

Karin takes a strengths based and person centered approach to partnering with her clients. She encourages her clients to take an active role in their behavioral health care to maximize optimal health. Her interests include Older Adults, Women’s Health, Childhood Obesity, Nutrition, Chronic Pain, Yoga Therapy, Virtual Behavioral Health Integration, and Holistic Health Services.
